My gut feeling is that trying to ban Trump would be a massive distraction and not a road to venture down.

Democrats haven't yet lost the House, Senate and White House. Rather than searching for levers to pull in desperation, they need to strip away all the extraneous stuff -- and FOCUS.

Get troops on the ground in those local districts. This cannot be won from Washington. Harping on about a John Lewis voting rights bill (however valid) is not helpful. Split off the part concerning determination of outcome, cajole a few Republicans and get that legislation passed. At this time forget filibuster -- NOT HAPPENING. Quietly pursue parts of BBB including some Republican support and the announce as a victory.

Lastly, put muzzles on those Democrats still voicing whatever at Manchin and Sinema. NOT HELPFUL.
