Biden has embraced Donald Trump as his opposition and elevated him. It is reminiscent of the Democratic Party's reckless strategy of supporting ultra-right candidates in the 2022 midterms.
Biden, again, presents himself as the default candidate, which is a negative and defensive posture, and, as you point out, a dangerous one.
