You express your ideas well Ben Burgis.

While I don’t always agree with Tom Friedman, I appreciate his voice in the New York Times and elsewhere. He is pragmatic in his approach which unfortunately not common these days.

There is a huge opportunity at the moment to dramatically change the way we live to one of increased prosperity and joyfulness (the latter never seemed part of the equation and something Bernie does not represent). Bernie has been successful at pointing to issues that absolutely have to be addressed — including healthcare. He deserves much credit for that.

The problem with Bernie (and Tom Friedman gets it) is that we have to make money in order to spend it. Bernie shows little understanding of how wealth is generated — none!. The best route to prosperity is trade — the more we trade, the better off we are. Unfortunately, the only trade agreement that would satisfy Bernie is one with all advantages flattened and value gone. We would be stuck with Chevrolets and ten year old laptops.

As for Joe? he just shouldn't be there. And, I invite you to read my article “Let’s Get Real — Joe Biden is not up to the Job” in MEDIUM and The Houston Chronicle.
