Yes, without the trillions of mutations, we wouldn't be here.

There is a significant difference, though. Darwin's "Natural Selection" (he took pains to avoid the word evolution because it implied elevation) included no design or act of advancing but random mistakes and defaults.

It's all great stuff. Many significant points of Darwin's theory still need to be widely understood.
