Yes Lauren Elizabeth, you're probably right with this. The Republican presidential primaries could be very ugly and unhinged. Similar in tone with the current Ohio Republican primary race for the Senate.

We have to keep in mind that although Tucker Carlson is the most popular cable commentator, the numbers of fans are still relatively small -- and, extreme. In 2016 many voted for Trump believing as that as President he would broaden into something more palatable. Not Tucker Carlson.

The possibility of Carlson running in 2024 is a reminder for Democrats to organize a great presidential candidate for themselves. Biden or Harris are NOT going to cut it. Buttigieg is the obvious choice but I'm sure there are others well qualified.
