Yes Caren, agree McConnell is a brilliant tactician.

Democrats can afford to move off the issues that either do little for them or are not going to work.

Their proposed voting rights package (like the BBB) is way too cumbersome and ultimately is chalked up as yet another failure not only by Republicans but also Democrats. Forget this package as well as the filibuster and shut up on BBB (which is dead as it stands but can be quietly honed and then possibly passed in different clothing).

Accessibility to and counting votes is not the main issues but rather what is done with the results. Here Democrats are in poor positions yet again because they do not have LOCAL attendance. They have to get themselves on the ground in places where people (certainly now) don't look like them. Alas, this can't be done overnight.
