With extraordinary leadership and a different recent history, Corinne, America and the West may have prevented Putin from attacking Ukraine. That opportunity was missed, and we now have the tragic loss of lives, homes, and livelihoods.

Getting Hitler from occupying many European countries was not done by de-escalation or negotiation but by necessary brute force. Same with Putin. We are kidding ourselves to think there will be lasting peace without removing Putin from the whole of Ukraine.

A way to speed up the war's end is to supply Ukraine with what it needs instead of this more dangerous piecemeal delivery America and the West are doing.
