We could be surprised. If Donald has lost steam now, catching up is difficult for him. He adding some new grievances will do little.

DeSantis is likely to become the immediate alternative. However, this may be transitionary because national exposure is more challenging for him than Florida and Fox News. DeSantis is UNLIKABLE, meaning he fails to connect with his audience. This was apparent in his debate with Crist in the Florida governor's race.

Someone with Glenn Youngkin's personality and skills could supersede him. Especially if Donald is out of the picture and DeSantis is not the middle person.

The uncertainty on the Republican side logically should move the Democrats to strengthen their position. Particularly to replace the 80-year-old Biden with a younger and more talented candidate.
