Where are the avenues, Hossein?

Individuals are vital to optimistic futures and those dire. Nelson Mandela was a Godsend (and De Klerk) to forge ahead from a horrible situation.

Unfortunately, we don't have that in either leader of Israel or the Palestinians. Tragically, an opportunity for a significant change was missed with Barak and Arafat. Of course water under the bridge.

There are notes of optimism.

Secular Jews in Israel must strengthen their bonds with moderate Palestinians. This increasingly makes sense because they risk losing their liberties and Israel to religious extremes.

Another thought is for Israel to normalize Gaza. Netanyahu needs the awful regime in Gaza for his political strength. And if this can be broken, Gaza will become a model for Palestinians and unthreatening to Israelis.

Before Netanyahu resurfaced, there were glimmers of progress that could be picked up again.

The Iran/Saudi deal presents opportunities. Don't know, but it stymies Netanyahu's alliance with Saudi Arabia against Iran.

Have to attend dinner. I'm cook.

Always best.
