Unfortunately, Joe was never a great candidate as the Primaries told. He was dead until the Democratic deciders resurrected him out of fear that Bernie was about to clinch the deal. This interference could well play out to have been a huge mistake -- no blue wave (and there could have been) and problems with Biden / Harris capabilities of executing the enormous job in the white House.
