There are dangers in Biden not moving out of the way for a younger and more talented Democratic to become president (I invite you to read "Award Joe Biden Another Term?"

His age is the obvious problem. There will be continued deterioration in his abilities. Biden has given the middle finger to many appreciative of his first term but wanted him to move aside. By remaining, Biden reinforces the belief that Washington will do what it likes regardless.

His misguided choice of Kamala Harris as VP remains and is a vulnerability. Biden lacks whatever to correct this uneasy situation.

Biden has successfully elevated Donald Trump by making the election about defeating him --again! It's retro stuff where the focus should be on the future.
