Very sensitive writing Arnold Mays Ragas. Many thanks.

Growing up I always felt my difference with others. I was on the outside and so wanted to be on the inside. I still feel that way a little, but for all those years of uncomfortableness, I learned, valued and came to enjoy a prospective others lacked. I recall an interview with William Balwin (I can't remember the exact words but it was something like this).

The interviewer asked

"How did it make you feel? the realization that you were black, poor and homosexual?

"That I had won the jackpot!" replied Baldwin.
