Unfortunately the Democrats painted themselves into a corner when lifting Joe Biden into the position to take on Donald Trump (they were beside themselves because of the Bernie Sanders threat). Big issues with Biden were overlooked and then were then compounded with his choice of Harris. “Is Kamala Harris up to the Job of President?”

A new configuration is needed as you say Caren to have a chance of maintaining the White House. And it needs doing now as more time won't be helpful. Harris can be persuaded to resign and another VP sworn into place. There are many talented to fill the position. Top of my list is Pete Buttigieg.
