Tim Ward, New Zealanders are good at balancing the issues of maintaining nature and setting with the public and private demands made upon them.

Apart from the Maori population (more in North Island), the early settlers were mainly transplanted English and Scottish who turned to the outdoors and farming. New Zealanders have an intellectual quality fashioned by the landscape into great ingenuity.

They were pioneers of early aviation, built the first jet boats, and have fantastic filmmakers today.

I was born on a sheep station in central Marlborough, went to school in Auckland, but have spent most of my life in the U.S.

Many thanks. Excellent.
