Thoughtful article Dustin Arand.

If we want to prosper and remain safe, we must embrace the world, and the country best positioned to lead the way is still America.

So far this century, America has retreated from the world. Donald Trump accelerated this, and Joe Biden has not changed direction. He advocates "Buy American," ignores Ecuadorian President Laso's call for a free trade agreement, and has yet to remove the tariffs on Chinese goods. These make Americans less prosperous (the tariffs cost $800 per household year).

On the security front, without the heroic leadership of Zelensky, America would have given Ukraine to Putin to peril down the road. We have an increasingly hostile relationship with Xi Jinping's China which will become difficult to reverse.

What do we do about it? Restoring economic security and opportunity within America would be a good start. We would then become more confident to engage and help others around the globe achieve their aspirations, which will help us in America.

A component of American and world inflation is running away from globalization and daft, self-inflicted harm like Brexit.

Many thanks.
