We have moved beyond having a successful open primary, and so the nominee is Biden.

Democrats are in real danger of losing. They are relying on Trump to falter, which may not happen.

The Biden campaign could strengthen itself by utilizing the VP position. Harris is of little help, but another could be paired with Biden to fill in for his abysmal communication skills. Buttigieg would be excellent.

Democrats staying their current course likely won't get them there even if you and I vote for Biden.
