These are critical concerns.

Arguments can be made that Ukraine in NATO would be a step toward preventing WWIII and not bringing it about.

NATO would defend a sovereign country that has chosen to enter the alliance. It's not war with Russia any more than the removal of Saddam Hussein from Kuwait was war with Iraq.

It would be a Special Operation.

America and the West must get onto the front foot.
