It was pretty unwatchable -- and irrelevant.

No one used the New York court verdict as evidence that Donald Trump is a fraudster and crook -- too frightened, I guess.

They were content to squabble amongst themselves while Donald cartwheels and summersaults to the nomination.

As for the November debate, they could each ask themselves, why bother?

Frank Bruni, NYT, aptly described Ramaswamy as a jack-in-the-box. Each time one thought the lid was securely fastened, he would spring up again. His hair-do was a flourish to the act.

As you say, it was perfect timing; no writers were needed for this comedy.
