Keep the U.S. stabilizing force that we had which was costing almost no American lives and carry the other costs which we could afford (for us at least STOP calling it a war). We needed to undo the Trump / Pompeo surrender to the Taliban. Deal with an uptick in violence because of that but try and move to a cohabitation with the Taliban. They after all were never really occupying the cities. Keep the interest of NATO forces who where helping us and try for a UN presence as well.
