Sorry, London, you are misguided here on almost every point.

America is in a new world of challenging power from China and many rising middle powers such as India, Turkey, Brazil, Indonesia, etc., which can fall into different camps.

America relies more on alliances than previously. This includes the big one, the EU plus the UK.

"Fortress America," as you suggest, will make us less prosperous and less secure.

American strength relies on our interconnections with allies, particularly trade, and with as much of the world as we can strive for.

Europeans are understandably concerned about Trump's election and his future foreign policy. His previous administration's foreign policy was mostly buffoonery.

Best.
