Sikander, DeSantis has always had an enormous and insurmountable handicap: he is UNLIKABLE.

His attack dog manner is a cover for a weak connection to voters (Elizabeth Warren used the selfie ploy as a substitute for connection). Attack-dog is limited, and DeSantis has no other connector to the crowd.

As you say, Donald Trump is a performer with many tricks. Awful, but LIKABLE.

It's an exception or extraordinary circumstance when a UNLIKEABLE is voted in as president. Nixon comes to mind, but it took him years and a slog. Obama, Bill Clinton, Reagan, and even G W were LIKABLE.
