Shankar, I wish I had your confidence in Biden.
Biden is a risk to Democrats, America, and the world because he could too easily lose to Trump.
Two-thirds of Democrats don't want him, and his polling with Blacks, Latinos, and young voters is dismal. Throw in that Biden is a proven poor campaigner, and there is a recipe for failure.
As you say, there are talented people in his campaign
team, but the candidate also has to shine.
Shine, he did not in Hanoi. No one who saw Biden's press conference would conclude Biden is equipped for an additional four years. His staff had to shut off the event with piped music. Take a look at C-Span on YouTube.
Biden is an unnecessary risk. He must be pushed aside, and an open primary takes place to find a younger, more talented, and electable nominee. There is still time. If not, make time.
The open primary would be exciting and invigorating and remove attention from Donald Trump. It would be looking forward instead of backward with Biden or Trump.
Many thanks.
