Sensible advice, Dan Hutmacher.
It was the presidency where Democrats had a self-inflicted loss.
Biden and Harris were poor candidates selected by the party establishment, not voters -- a procedure that occurred with Biden in 2020, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, and Walter Mondale. They all lost in the general election, apart from Biden under the protection of COVID.
In contrast, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton broke through this system, winning and enjoying second terms.
A separate negative for Democrats is that they have painted themselves out of chunks of America, including Florida, which was once a swing state. Once a territory has succeeded, it requires an enormous effort to regain.
On the upside, Democrats generally held ground in the House and Senate.
Many thanks. Best.
