There is positive news on the transition from fossil fuels to clean energy. Investment in new oil resources has halved from what it was a little way back. Which means oil prices will rise (in Europe its already been considerably) and that the gap between carbon ridden and clean energy will continue to narrow. Oil companies (and Putin) will enjoy a bonanza on the way out.
We have a real problem going forward on the supply side of energy as oil (and others) move from the picture. The nuclear option could fill the gap but involves a catch up of innovation because this was previously canned (which Germany especially will pay dearly for).
