Scott, it's not a matter of north and south. It's cities versus rural. Texas and Florida are gaining populations in their metropolitan areas that skew the states' Democratic. Texas Republicans are desperately hanging on by reconfiguring, and Floridian Republicans were given free rein by the Democratic Party foolishly opting out of holding the line.
