Scott, excellent point. The initial posture and few words can mean engagement and exchange -- or not. We learn by talking with everyone, especially those who disagree with us, as they can be the most rewarding.

When I comment on articles, I usually begin with praise, but this particular time, I didn't. I described the tone of her article as, unfortunately, churlish and presented a countering view she may not have considered.

The writer blocked her article from me and the audience for my comments. Unfortunately, because we try hard with our writing and even harder getting folk to read, let alone comment.

I mention this because the article and writer you have highlighted in your writing for me to read.
