Term limits are probably sensible for a number of reasons. The power of incumbency can shut out more able congresspersons or senators. Perhaps more than that, the power, prestige and money of these positions foster situations where the job is personally more important than constituants and nation.

I don't consider myself the bravest, but I have never had a job that I couldn't walk away from. Too many in both House and Senate are captured by their office.
