S. Novi, I understand it wasn't as rosy as that. An initial togetherness was there but faded quickly and people were generally NOT helping others. Not that much was actually written about the event because Americans became ashamed of their inaction.

Something similar happened also with COVID. Where "we in the world are all in this together" quickly gave way to me first.
