Roz Warren,

Confidence men have a common trait of likability and tie in with people's needs and frailties. Trump does this brilliantly. And is helped by FOX and others.

Donald Trump, donning an apron and frying the chips at McDonald's was endearing. In 2016, Trump gave kids in forgotten country rides on his helicopter, and at his recent rally turned disco, the crowd understood Donald was there for them.

Simultaneously, Trump is hideous and unfit for the presidency.

Trump filled the vacuum created by the Democrat's abandonment of rural and small-town America. The Republican Party did little to improve their lives, but any relationship is preferable to none. Trump became a totem.

Kamala Harris has become more appealing and hopefully will edge out Donald Trump.

Joe Biden was never likable in the sense I describe, and he failed to paint a future that Americans could aspire to and leave Trump and his grievances behind.

That the election is so close is soul-searching for the Democratic Party.
