Richard Lowenthal, CNN did America an excellent service by hosting the Trump town hall. As much as many would like, Donald can not be hidden under a flower pot.

The 80 minutes of Trump were messy, but that didn't matter.

CNN was successful, probably beyond their expectations, in two critical ways.

CNN showed a broad audience how dangerous Trump would be as President again. Also that Trump provided no handle for middle voters to grip.
