The Democrats need more folk voting for them to get some of the things passed you refer to. Mind you, not ALL ideas on the left are great. They tend to want top down directives. Elizabeth Warren is the epitome of this.

Convincing voters across the country from Washington is difficult and often counterproductive. Unfortunately the Democrats withdrew from much of local politics and find themselves in the position they are today. Kind of out of touch. Time, effort and money needs to go back into these places they previously abandoned. .

Democrats need to be in places where people do not look and think like them. I think Bernie understands this.
