Representatives (and press for that matter) are maybe more flexible than you may think Mike. We are blessed with Senator Marco Rubio here in Florida. Could be described as a very popular woose. He has a fully convertible spine which enables him to duck, turn or possibly stick his nose out. His nose being totally sensitive to any whiff of change in public sentiment -- including attitudes to climate change. What I'm saying is that action needs to come the population and polititions will swing on a dime. I detect a change in public seriousness but it has to get focused and quickly.
We want to make climate change not something to hide from but something that can be tackled and turned into success -- even money making. I've express before that the exact cost paid by each household today needs establishing, delivered and sunk into brains. This would get us on a map of reality to then be worked on. The figure at this moment with all our fires, floods and droughts has to be thousands of dollars per household.
Don't underestimate corporations to lead because the smart ones see opportunities there. This is already happening with the auto and energy businesses here in the U.S.
Many thanks. Best to you. Hope not flooded again.
