Reasonable predictions, Anton.

World security and prosperity are at risk because of awful and woefully inadequate leadership in powerful countries.

Putin and Netanyahu have created or multiplied tragedies costing tens of thousands of lives, along with tens of billions in property damage, because of placing personal ambitions and welfare above the best interests of Russia and Israel.

Xi Jinping's central management and security paranoia have left China in an economic funk.

Strong (as opposed to strongman) leadership is lacking in Germany and France (Macron in a political center desert), and the UK, still reeling from the ill effects of Brexit, looks shaky.

Biden and Trump have championed isolationist and protectionist policies that will harm American and world prosperity and security. Trump's second term is likely to continue these policies, although Trump is an empty vessel to be filled and steered by others, which lends uncertainty.

There is an opportunity to break the protectionist and isolationist wave. Bold leadership in the UK could throw open trade doors with China, beginning by removing tariffs and restrictions on Chinese EVs, solar panels, and other green economy imports. This would overnight elevate the life of the average Brit. Blue fits would occur in America, but to hell with them.

Many thanks. Best for 2025.
