This is an unwelcome and harmful development.

UNRWA behaves as an administrative and humanitarian body for the Palestinians. For decades, it has held life together. Israel outlawing the organization vacates vital middle territory and political means to resolution.

I suspect Netanyahu intends to weaken any administrative and political arm, as he has continually done with the PA and others. "Who do I talk with?" will again be his refrain.

Israel is under the worst of leadership, but Israelis must ask themselves where this is all going for their interests -- apart from others.

It does not look good. America has become a junior partner if not a well-meaning aunt. The Biden Administration is positioned and says words but fails to act—a repeated Biden pattern.

With death and destruction all around, Israel plummets into a permanent state of war -- the antithesis of what it must do in seeking security and prosperity.

Netanyahu has calculated that he has America at his back, ready to war with Iran -- he could well be correct, and we so foolish.
