Peter, while job numbers are an indicator, they DON'T drive the economy --they sap it. America needs to focus on productivity and NOT jobs to improve living standards.

I wrote, "Jobs! Jobs! Jobs! Cry the Politicians," which I invite you to read.

Those new chip jobs come at a price tag of $6M a piece before maintaining them. In his wisdom, Biden is reintroducing an industry that will NEVER make money and will require government subsidies for decades (the steel, shipbuilding, and textile industries had a time of being profitable).
