Pat Rowantree, we want controls so that we avoid monopolies and maintain competition. Our anti-trust laws are there for this but need updating (along with patent laws) and simply enforcing. Yes, your example of big phama is where huge improvements should be made. We want to have the choice of getting drugs from Canada, India or wherever and those prices would be more than halved.
