In Germany, Olaf Scholz is still handcuffed by his timidity but appears to be evolving.
A weakened Russia allows for the resurgence of protest movement in Belarus, in Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and the hope that they’ll be installing democratic regimes instead. 
And the new power alignments may well lead to better fending off China’s ambitions of world domina…

Oscar, this may be wishful.
The task is a weakened Putin as opposed to Russia. The world needs Russia to be prosperous. The country could break apart. Putin's fear of this may have played a part in his attack on Ukraine.
