Now is the Time for Republicans to Rid themselves of Donald Trump!
The Capitol assault has offered an opportunity that Republicans should seize immediately! A gift from God to serve their interests and a refreshing new start for everyone.
The possible antics by Donald over the next days stretch the wildest of imaginations. Either his phone whacking a passer-by or him twisting the earth from its axis demand to be taken seriously. He is one angry, delusional and now twitter-less monster with supreme powers running amuck. And, a week absent of an American President invites our foes to do their worst. I recall a day in New York starting out brilliantly sunny and carefree but only a few hours later the Twin Towers were gone and thousands dead. We cannot lull ourselves into thinking dreadful things won’t happen because we don’t want them to. Now, placing Donald into a straitjacket until inauguration day has appeal but we are still living in a democracy and besides, that would leave us without a legitimate leader, or even the appearance of one, for the world. But, Donald could be asked, cajoled, tricked or bribed into stepping aside — immediately! A raft with a small sail and a big push can be arranged, surely.
Republicans need to find their cojones and champion the mission ahead of Democrats.
