Nick Eilerson, you deliver an excellent narrative of the qualities of Pete Buttigieg for President. He is young, clever, knowlegeable about the US and the world, good with people (his campaign performance is a testiment to that), pragmatic and an accomplished listener (something Elizabeth Warren rarely does). He may not know all answers or even problems — he does not have to. But, Pete has tons of room above and together with ability he will grow to recognize, address and find solutions to all kinds of challenges. This is key to unlocking a big, changing world in which all Americans may participate, prosper and be happy. Pete is a “God send” to us all.

One of the big concerns is how America (and the world) came to be lumbered with the likes of Donald Trump (could also have been someone from the left). There are real reasons this happened and Pete appears to have an understanding of what took place — people’s lost identity, financial and cultural disenfranchisement etc. He hopefully would establish polices to minimize the risk of this happening again (Andrew Wang’s $1000 per month is a consideration).

A further big importance of a Buttigieg Presidency is having a leader who is keenly interested in the rest of the world and that it is critical to our success. We need China, Mexico, Canada, Europe, South America etc. and for them to also prosper. We need and benefit from the flow of goods, capital and people. A richer (economically and culturally), more secure and happier US and the world results.

Thanks for your article. Here is to Pete’s success for us all!
