The Trump / son-in-law thing was never a serious attempt at a solution. How can you have an agreement when one of the parties has been absent from the discussions.

I disagree that the two state solution is impossible, as the alternatives are unworkable. Israel, for the last number of years, has been ok with a “holding at arms length” the Palestinian anger, but that over the longer term is not sustainable. It will take new administrations, first in Israel, and then United States, to have the setting for a common solution.
