Talented individuals like Beingrich can play key roles in managing climate change because they tend to be enormously creative and beyond the immediate in their thinking. Of course their positions of influence and wealth certainly help. They also bring very different qualities to the party.

Jeff Bezos, having William Shatner play his part was fantastcally helpful in communicating, amongst other things, the frailty of our planet (although Elizabeth Warren and Prince William failed to catch on). Elon Musk and his Tesla made electric vehicles sexy and desirable and pathing the road. Bill Gates put together an excellent "how to" book to meet the climate challenge.
