Never seen you this gloomy Mike. Not that I ask you for apologies or further explanations -- I get it. All I have to say, is that your nature writing is very special to me. It's crammed full of connections, imagination and the humors that are so desperately need today. They are ingredients of solutions to the huge environmental issues on our worldly plate.

I think there has been progress lately. Bill Gates is a welcome and powerful voice that is not David Attenborough or Gretta Thunberg -- as valuable as those two are. We need visionary, creative and planning folk like Gates to paint the picture that climate change is winnable -- and, exciting as well. Everything is involved -- politics, socialism, capitalism, management, courage, commitment and more besides.

I am confident of my own writing and I wouldn't do it if I didn't think it valuable. That said, getting friends organized to my read my blurbs is challenging. But, from time to time I receive notes out of the blue from those impressed -- and, that makes me feel good. I very much value your comments on articles published here.

Many thanks and best to you.
