Mitchell, this is not absurd. In fact my suggestion for Biden weeks back was to offer every coal miner (not the companies) each $1M to go and do something else. It would have been cheap. Instead we will pay trillions more because of lost time and momentum (worldwide).

Unfortunately Biden is nice but a simple guy.

There is going to be a lot of compensation. Developing countries cannot afford the changes they need to make and the West and particularly America has to fit the bill for this. No question.
