Mitchell, there's always a cost for over promising. Credit for what is actually achieved is overtaken by the disappointment and anger from what is not.

Democrats have to get more folk voting for them. The agenda you point to has not been achieved, not especially because of Biden, but because the votes are neither in congress nor across the country.

Voting rights and changing the filibuster (two good ideas) which Democrats continue on will only chalk up yet further failures. They should be addressing local concerns across the country -- things that most people care about.

Even when proposals are good ones, they can't simply be shot out from Washington to land wherever to whoever. For example, the key to voting rights is at the local level and not legislation from Washington. Unfortunately Democrats have abandoned the local level which was picked up by Republicans. Democrats will remain very limited in their power if they do not change this around.

Biden is certainly lack luster, a poor communicator and cannot be acused of over intelligence. I think him a huge liability for 2024 should he want to hang on. Of course replacing him with someone from the left of the party would be a complete disaster.

That said, your blame of Biden of is not especially accurate. Democrats need voters.

Many thanks. Best to you.
