Mitchell, people qualify as heroes for actions at particular times. Liz Cheney deserves applause for standing out from her party and doing her best to protect a pillar of democracy -- the transfer of power.

It would be a mistake to think Cheney is not a hard-right Republican. And she can have her views.

The January 6 hearings would have a fraction of their weight without Liz Cheney. I say Bravo to her.

Cheney can be an excellent voice from the right in mainstream media. She communicates well, and there are few Republicans concerned with politics and policy.
