Mitch, tragedies can happen for many reasons, including regulation, lack of oversight, lawlessness, carelessness, etc.

You spill over into wholesale attack on capitalists -- who are most in the country. Or are you writing about wealthy folk? Because they are no more careless about the biosphere, people, and the future than middle-income or poor folk.
