Mike, excellent leadership is demanded, and we have mediocrity in the U.S. and UK and just plain bad in Israel.

A more intelligent American president would have recognized and seized an opportunity that opened immediately post-Oct 7.

Biden should have declared unequivocally that America was NOT going to support the pummeling or invasion of Gaza. America would support the protection of citizens and property WITHIN Israel and help fill gaps in security previously lacking.

The Two-state solution should have become centerstage immediately, utilizing the new Arab country relationships, particularly Saudi Arabia, to forge lasting regional security and prosperity.

Instead, we are plummeting into the abyss.

I hope that the loss of Israel's youngest and most talented will convince enough Israelis to rid themselves of Netanyahu and his hellbent administration and stop the carnage.
