Michelle Teheux, your articles are always thoughtful.

The rich are not primarily responsible for poverty. Someone loaded who buys a Lamborghini (generally) is not taking from those that can't afford that luxury.

Unfortunately, we have a popular conception of having fixed wealth to be divided, which feeds the notion that one person's gain is another's loss -- Donald Trump's mentality.

If we believe that wealth can be created and not taken from another, we would be more generous to others -- including the poor.

The rich could be more prosperous by contributing to those less fortunate. Although many on the political left hate this idea and contribute to the status quo.

Many thanks.
