Michael Greiner, I admire your confident prediction. It will be a test if money can buy a nomination. Bloomberg’s “where-with-all” certainly made a difference in the 2009 race for mayor (although he only just won). We are in new waters and there are possibly many outcomes.
Biden is most likely toast, but pride will likely remain till early evening of South Carolina (he will be relying on a life line of black loyalty vote that is wishful). Klobuchar has little money and organization to continue competing. Not to mention, a possible return fire of binders, staplers and inkwells, because of her under reported adverse history). Warren, although not spluttering Biden, manages head above water, and has structure to compete in the next couple of states (new appeal wanting, however). That leaves Buttigeig and Bloomberg to share the moderate wing of the party come Super Tuesday. Either one would have to fail big time to block Sander’s momentum to the nomination. Those moderate votes not united would leave Sanders to go up to the nomination only to go down to Trump.
Bloomberg would probably make a decent President, although, like Biden and Sanders (and also Warren) is old. Looks old. Whether an across the country voting public could stomach a New York City mayor is a question. Especially one without suggestion of charisma.
