Michael Busler, you are right that we need capitalism. It's the engine of growth. That said, a complete free for all of money, people and goods is not going to be stable and will quickly degenerate into a place not free and enormously inefficient. Even the most ardent capitalists understand the need for social rules and sysyems.
YOU PRESENT CAPITALISM / SOCIALISM AS EITHER / OR. THAT IS A COMMON MISTAKE.
Socialism crafted skillfully can greatly benefit the capitalist system. For example, providing all with good access to education increases the pool of talent for better productivity (this was proven when women entered education and became part of the work force).
I suggest a marriage of capitalism and socialism in my articles "Happiness and Wealth -- It Takes Two to Tango" and "Donald and Corona -- Let's Make Them Work for Us" published on MEDIUM and Hurst Publications. Something to bouce off your students, maybe.
